• Dr.A.Govardhan did his Intermediate from APRJC Nagarjuna Sagar, during 1986-1988, BE in Computer Science and Engineering from Osmania University College of Engineering, Hyderabad in 1992, M.Tech from Jawaharlal Nehru University(JNU), Delhi in 1994 and he earned his Ph.D from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological Univesity, Hyderabad in 2003
• He has been conferred Bharat Jyoti Award 2010, Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award 2010, Best Citizens of India 2010 Award, Life Time Achievement Gold Medal Award 2010, Rashtriya Vidya Saraswati Puraskar 2010, Eminent Educationist Award 2010 and Certificates of Excellence for Outstanding services, Achievements, Contributions, Meritorious Services, Outstanding Performance and Remarkable Role in the field of Education and Service to the Nation
• He has been listed as One among the Top Three Faculty in JNTU Hyderabad, India made by Outlook Survey for the year 2008
• He is a member of Standing Committee for Academic Senate, JNT University Hyderabad and Academic Advisory Committee (AAC), UGC-Academic Staff College and Sports Council, JNT University Hyderabad
• He is the Chairman for Post Graduate Board of Studies (BOS) in Computer Applications, Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa, Member on various BOS ( for CSE and IT, UG and PG), including JNTUniversity Hyderabad, Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajahmundry, Satavahana University, Karimnagar and VR Siddhartha Engineering College, Vijayawada
• He was the Chairman for Board of Studies (Computer Science and Engineering) during 2008-2009 for UG and PG at Dept. of CSE, JNTUH College of Engineering Hyderabad and Member, BOS at School of Information Technology, JNTU Hyderabad
• He was the Chief Regional Coordinator for EAMCET 2010 and Co-convener for EAMCET 2009
• He served as an Officer-in-Charge of Examinations, Head, Dept. of CSE and as Student Advisor at JNTUHCEH
• He has guided 2 Ph.D theses and 123 M.Tech projects. He has 118 research publications at International/National Journals and Conferences including ACM, IEEE and Springer
• He is a Member on the Editorial Boards for Seven International Journals
• He has been a committee member for various International and National conferences includingPAKDD2010, IKE10, ICETCSE-2010 ICACT-2008, NCAI-06
• He is also a reviewer of research papers of various conferences and Journals including IEEE
• He has chaired 5 sessions at International and 2 sessions at National Conferences

• He has organized 10 Workshops and 1 Refresher Course
